Japan International Broadcasting Inc. (JIB) has been selected to receive a 2025 grant from the Broadcast Culture Fund for a project aimed at helping regional private broadcasters bring their content to international audiences.

As part of this initiative, JIB will work with TV Setouchi Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Okayama City) to co-produce an international version of the station’s long-running cooking show Obaachan no Daidokoro (“Grandma’s Kitchen”). Through this collaboration, we will try out and develop program formats that support regional broadcasters in reaching viewers overseas.

Through this project, JIB hopes to create a simple and effective way for locally rooted Japanese programs to reach viewers around the world.
